Default New guy, old(er) bike

My name is Louie and this is my (current, somewhat running) bike:

84 GPz750, bike likes to play with the younger crowd (like me). First generation Ninja, usually gets comments like:

"Is that one of them there dual purpose bikes?"

Has developed an oil leak during a hard run last year in our 100+ degree temps, looks like the head and cylinders might have to come off, or I run her smokey: thumbsup: considering I will be looking at a motor swap anyway.

Anyone know any local sportbike groups locally that doesn't think a "ride" is from bar to bar? I'm toying with the idea of starting one, as a matter of fact, a ride weekend is already coming together, in July or August, will keep posted. The dual purpose ride and the atv run is ready to go, just need a confirm on a date which I have forgotten.

And if you know of anyone that has late 70's/early 80's Kawasaki parts/bikes around, I might be able to use them. Or a ZR-7 motor would be nice.

Next week the 78 Goldwing comes to the house, looking forward to scraping pegs on that bad boy. I love the old no fairing/no bags 'Wings. That is, after I get it running, or if it is too far gone, it will support my GPZ repairs.

Also seen around on a '01 v-star, white w/red flames, a friends bike that doesn't get to ride it as much as it should be. With my current crop, this might be the one that I ride most this year!

Post up your pics of your bikes, WNC riders, so we know who we are when I see you on the road!
